On the heights of the Corde Valley, on the edge of the Marais Poitevin stands an elegant 19th century castle with two different facades: one of Louis XIII style and the other Directory.
On the side remains the North servitudes of the old castle of the 15th century: King Henri IV stayed there during the siege of Fontenay in 1587 (historic residence of Denis Loynes Marquis de la Coudraye, governor of Fontenay le Comte in the 18th century).
