Visit of the Priory/ City Hall
Built from the 11th century, the priory belonged to the Abbey of Bourgueil, in Touraine, and housed Benedictine monks until the Revolution before becoming private property.
Rebuilt in the 15th century at the same time as the church, it was heavily damaged by the religious wars. It was fortified in the second half of the 16th century, then enlarged and embellished internally, in the 17th century. Two of the four beautiful chimneys have beautiful ornaments, especially the coat of arms of the prior.
Purchased by the municipality in 1980, the priory has been housing the town hall since 1982.
