About the location

Hôtel-Dieu de Baugé
rue Anne de Melun 49150 Baugé en Anjou
  • Maine-et-Loire
  • Pays de la Loire
Classified as a historical monument, the apothecary of Baugé, 1675, is considered one of the most complete in France with a collection of more than 650 pots and boxes with contents as mysterious as strange: dragon blood, eyes of crayfish, will thrill the youngest. In the large room of the patients discover the art of healing and the daily life of a hospital in the seventeenth century through the objects of the time. Then admire the baroque chapel and its double choir, before crossing the places of life of the Hospitallers of Saint Joseph. Exhibition of 17th-20th century rolled paper paintings, entrance included with the entrance ticket of the visit of the Hotel Dieu
