Colette Cosnier, born in La Flèche in 1936 and died in Rennes in 2016, is a feminist, writer, women’s historian and comparative literature teacher at Rennes 2 and then at Le Mans. Throughout her life and her work, she remains faithful to the city of her childhood and youth as well as to the Sarthe, through her videos, her texts, and the Sarthois characters whose story she loved to tell. In 2015, in the same place, Colette Cosnier recounted the life of the woman who had her preference and whose biography she wrote: the French pedagogue Marie Pape-Carpantier.
