Erected since the 11th century on a spur of schist that dominates the Loire, kept from the 12th century a choir of Plantagenêt style and a bell tower with square base. Its current appearance has been modified several times and dates back to 1860: three high naves, high vaults, slender columns and external buttresses. The stained glass windows were installed between 1870 and 1872, with the exception, in the choir, of the three stained glass windows signed by Jean-Adrien Mercier and his daughter Sylvie Mercier of Flanders, placed very recently. Two beautiful statues of the 18th century, of Sainte-Gemmes and Saint-Martin, frame a triumphal arch, interesting testimony of baroque art.
The presbytery is a Renaissance dwelling adjoining the side of the church, overlooking the old cemetery transformed into gardens of the presbytery, today magnificently flowered.
