Bird Migration at Point de l'Aiguillon
Bird Migration at the Point
Accompanied by a naturalist guide from the LPO Vendée, come and discover the migration of passerines (swallows, wagtails, etc.) during a walk in the dunes of Pointe de l'Aiguillon.
A daily count every fall
The Pointe de l'Aiguillon is a must-see for many passerines migrating in autumn, and is a privileged site for bird-watching in the Vendée. Since 1993, LPO Vendée volunteers gathered at the “migration camp” to count the birds in transit through the Pointe. This count takes place every morning from September 1 to November 30, from sunrise until noon.
To share this experience and discover this heritage (which we hope will last even if the bird populations studied are not doing well), we invite the public to participate in this outing proposed in partnership with the Communauté de Communes Sud Vendée Littoral and the Parc Naturel Régional du Marais Poitevin
