Das Schloss von Villeneuve, ein historisches Denkmal, ist ein altes mittelalterliches Haus inmitten der Weinberge von Layon. Eine geduldige und vollständige Restaurierung, die nach den Regeln der Kunst durchgeführt wurde, hat es in 30 Jahren Arbeit ermöglicht, ihn vor dem Ruin zu bewahren. Gleichzeitig wurden hier wunderschöne historische Gärten rekonstruiert.
Nachdem man die befestigte Burg aus dem 12. Jahrhundert passiert hat, gelangt man zunächst zu einem riesigen landschaftlich gestalteten Hof, der von der Herrenwohnung und den alten Wirtschaftsgebäuden gebildet wird, deren blinde Fassaden den den Schutz bildeten. Im Süden, nach außen ausgerichtet und nach den Vorschriften von Léon Batista Alberti (1404-1472) belegt ein von Italien inspirierter Garten die Terrasse des alten Hauses. Ein geometrisches Beet aus Buchsbaum-Quadraten bietet Flächen von Pflanzen von Farbe, Gemüse oder Blumen.Dieser Garten ist von Pergolen und Brunnen parallel umgeben. Das mittelalterliche Haus, das es beherrscht, hat eine strenge Fassade, die durch die hohen Kamine und seine Fensterarbeiten aufgeweicht wird. Außerhalb der Stadtmauern hat der ummauerte, mittelalterlich inspirierte Garten von Artus, umgeben von einem Charme, nichts mit der Außenlandschaft zu tun. Sehr symbolisch, basierend auf dem Kreuz, umfasst es vier Entitäten: Blumen, Gemüsegarten, Quadrate von Einzelstücken und ein Schachbrett Rosengarten. Ein Labyrinth in Ifs führt zum Jungbrunnen. The Château de Villeneuve, a historical monument, is an old medieval house located in the middle of the Layon vineyards. Il castello di Villeneuve, monumento storico, è un'antica dimora medievale situata tra i vigneti del Layon. Un paziente e totale restauro, eseguito a regola d'arte, ha permesso, in 30 anni di lavori, di salvarlo dalla rovina. Allo stesso tempo sono stati ricostruiti magnifici giardini storici.

Le château de Villeneuve, monument historique, est une ancienne demeure médiévale située au milieu des vignobles du Layon. Une patiente et totale restauration, effectuée dans les règles de l'art, a permis, en 30 années de travaux, de le sauver de la ruine. De magnifiques jardins historiques y ont été, dans le même temps, reconstitués.
Après avoir passé le châtelet fortifié du XIIe, on accède d’abord à une immense cour paysagée formée par le logis seigneurial et les anciens bâtiments d'exploitation dont les façades aveugles formait la protection.
Au sud, tourné vers l’extérieur et basé sur les préceptes de Léon Batista Alberti (1404-1472), un jardin d’inspiration italienne occupe la terrasse du logis ancien. Un parterre géométrique fait de carrés de buis propose des aplats de végétaux de couleur, légumes ou fleurs.Ce jardin est entouré par des pergolas et fontaines en parallèle. Le logis médiéval qui le domine présente une facade austère adoucie par les hautes cheminées et ses menuiseries de fenêtres
Au détour du mur de terrasse, découvrez un verger inventif, surplombé par une vigne coteaux du Layon .
Hors les murs d’enceinte, le jardin clos d’Artus, d’inspiration médiévale, entouré par une charmille, ne présente pas de rapport avec le paysage extérieur. Très symbolique, basé sur la croix, il comprend quatre entités : les fleurs, le potager, des carrés de simples et une roseraie échiquier. Un labyrinthe en Ifs mène à la fontaine de jouvence.
Vous terminerez par une allée de topiaires en ifs et buis inspiré par le moyen-âge guerrier.
