Every year the Joseph-Denais Museum proposes to integrate in its programming a contemporary artist, local, national or international, the support and presentation of contemporary creations in rural areas is one of the mission of this cabinet of curiosities of the nineteenth century.
Richard Rak, lives and works in Coutures. it is therefore as a neighbour that he comes in 2022 to invest the museum Joseph Denais and create a new dialogue between his works and the works of the cabinet of curiosities. It is as a traveller, storyteller, adventurer, archaeologist and collector that the artist gives us his poetic works telling a variety of earthly, cosmic and dreamlike epics always fanciful. Between raw art and whimsical artistic inventory, his works have a very strong link with the collections, sharpening all imaginations and curiosities.
