The church was founded in the 9th or 10th century and rebuilt in the 12th century. It was then ceded by the Lord of Jarzé to the Abbey of Saint-Serge who founded a priory there. The choir was rebuilt by Geoffroy de Jarzé in the late 13th or early 14th century. The bell tower was demolished in the 19th century. Composed of a single nave of three bays, a narrower choir and finished with a flat bedside. The cover is slate and the walls are made of coated rubble. A panelled vault covers the nave while a covered brick vault in the Plantagenet style is installed on the choir.
