The cultural association of Foussais-Payré invites you to discover the exceptional heritage of its territory. Two bike rides are proposed to you Saturday, September 17, 2022: - 10:00 appointment church square in Foussais-payré: the castle of Sérigny, the Bressaire, the Fournière (9km) - 14:30 appointment church square in Foussais-payré: the Touche, the Riallière, the Priory of Payré (8km) Possibility of a shared picnic in the garden of the Priory in Foussais (free aperitif). Those interested are strongly advised to register beforehand. If you want to use a vehicle, please let us know by registering.

The church was built between 1050 and 1100\. It was rebuilt in the 15th century at the same time as the priory, on a rectangular plan. During the wars of religion, the church and the priory suffered enormous damage. In 1568, the church was burned down and probably the priory house. Interior recently fully restored, the JEP are an opportunity to come (re)discover this magnificent building and the quality of this restoration.
