With “Or escoutez la chanson…” , the Compagnie Outre-Mesure wishes to honour the collections of the most beautiful and excellent songs, taken from French authors and poets, collected by Jehan Chardavoine between 1576 and 1588.
We find there, Mellin de Saint Gelais, Pierre de Ronsard, Claude de Pontoux, Philippe Desportes, all set to music by various authors of the sixteenth century but also contemporaries (Pascale Boquet and Marc Busnel). In the form of a vocal quartet, with the company Outre-Mesure, it is an invitation to travel where the lyrics of the songs, interpreted in French restored, take everyone towards the great poetry, the burlesque, the grave, the light.

The work resumed! At the beginning of the sixteenth century, Geoffroy d'Estissac, enlightened bishop, launched a new building campaign. Under his episcopate, Rabelais came to live there. At the height of his glory, Maillezais would succumb to the Wars of Religion. The bishopric was transferred to La Rochelle in 1666\. In 1791, sold as a Bien National, Maillezais became a stone quarry. From the powerful forebody, there remains a short nave with two bays covered in broken cradle and two square towers with the
