The Notre Dame de la Garde chapel is a small pilgrimage building that originally depended on the Château du Verger. It was founded in the 14th century by the Squire, Hugues Le Jan. The Count of Cherisey, mayor of Seiches from 1925 to 1942, donated it to the commune.
Added to the Additional Inventory of Historical Monuments since 1973.
Abandoned for more than twenty years, it had to be the subject of major work, including the complete renovation of the roof, in order to be saved.
