medieval Fortress and building Renaissance, the castle of Châteaubriant tells the ten centuries of history(story).
By 1050, the Lord Brient establishes on this rocky headland a first castle. From 1490, Françoise de Dinan, governess of Anne of Brittany, then Jean de Laval invest(surround) the old(former) poultry-yard of the castle to build a residence there Renaissance and to do gardens up there.
- Visits of the castle, from 10 h 30 (lasted 30 minutes): a departure every 30 minutes. Last departure at 18 h. No visit between 12 h 30 and 13 h 30.
- Visit free of the exhibition(exposure) " The big(great) royal dresses " of Lamyne Mr in the big(great) home. Closure(Lock) between 12 h 30 and 13 h 30.
- Mediations will be proposed in different spaces of the castle, between 10 h 30 and 18 h. No mediation between 12 h 30 and 13 h 30.
- Come discover the multimedia device(plan) on the architectural evolution of the castle of Châteaubriant, of the XIth century in today: 10h-18h30.
A barnum will be installed(settled) at the entrance(admission) of the castle to welcome you. You will then be able to take a (free) bill(ticket) for one of the proposed visits, or have a walk in autonomy on the site.
