The twins Dulien and Dulcien were, according to legend, the evangelizers of Jans (then included in the vast forest of Domnesche). The latter "would have gone up the Don River from Lake Murin and settled on the banks of the Cosne, in an asylum which had become the abovementioned chapel and where they were beheaded for their fidelity to Christianity, as well as Saints Donatien and Rogatien of Nantes".
