A jewel of religious heritage, the Abbey of Brantôme is a mesmerizing place!

A legendary place with enigmatic origins, the abbey is open to visitors, as well as the Fernand Desmoulin Museum with its collections related to spiritualism.
Discover its caves, cloister, 11th century bell tower, 18th century monastic wing and much more.
Guided or free visit to the abbey caves.
Visit commented cloister-church-bell tower (visit limited to 18 people).
Guided night tour of the abbey’s caves on Saturday 17 September at 21:00 (reservation recommended).

Vestiges of the first monastery Benedictine of Brantôme, dating the VIIth century, dug(accentuated) in the calcareous cliff partly hidden by the conventual buildings(ships): houses, pigeon houses, miraculous fountain devoted to Saint sicarian whose relics are kept(preserved) in the abbey church and cryptic said cave of the Last Judgment and its two monumental bas-reliefs.
