After studying architecture at the Beaux-arts de Paris, René Guichemerre settled permanently in Dax, his hometown, in 1951. He then draws what will become his place of life and work: the domain of the Sarrat, today historic monument and remarkable garden.
Discover with this visit commented the resolutely modern style of Guichemerre, author of many realizations in the Landes, which has left a lasting mark on the Dacquoise architecture of the Glorious Thirty!

René Guichemerre, architect, did not cease during his life to think, to draw, to build and to restore this park which he finished(ended) in 1953\. To his(its) death, in 1988, he(it) left his(its) property in the city of Dax. On more than three hectares, more than 700 trees of 27 different gasolines(essences) were counted. This park is of mixed type, understanding a regular part(party) and an environmental or irregular part(party).
