Péristyle du Jardin Public
Cours de Verdun, 33000 Bordeaux
- Gironde
- Nouvelle-Aquitaine
Imagine… A place located in the heart of the city, but in the countryside. A place where the blonde stone of Bordeaux mixes the harmony of its 18th century architecture with the nonchalance of a stream surrounded by centuries-old trees. A place where strollers, joggers, children and grandparents cohabit with swans and ducks in harmony.
Our Public Garden is this place. It has accompanied the life of all Bordelais since its creation in 1746\. A true green lung of the city centre, its 11 hectares of oxygen host numerous fields and play areas for children, as well as the famous puppet theatre Guignol Guérin.
Bordered by a row of private mansions, welcoming within it the Museum of Natural History, a Botanical Garden, and a very pleasant bar restaurant, the Orangery, the Public Garden is classified «Remarkable Garden of France».
