The mineralogical collections discovered at the museum were entrusted to the municipality of Ambazac by the Atomic Energy Commission (CEA). Since 1997, generous donors have completed this ensemble with the creation of the Jean Ventenat and Izis Spaces, dedicated to photography. Four floors are to visit, a collection of 5,000 minerals and 500 rocks.
