Hôtel de l'Université de Limoges
33 rue François Mitterrand, 87000 Limoges

- Nouvelle-Aquitaine
Built in 1873, the chapel of the Sisters of Saint-Alexis - a community founded in the 17th century to care for abandoned children, the poor and the sick of the hospital - was used as a place of worship until 1993\. It was restored and converted into a Salle des Conseils by the University of Limoges in 2002, when it was installed in the former premises of the convent. The floor of the chapel was then raised, which highlights the original decoration, especially its remarkable stained glass windows. Will also be visible 3 works of contemporary artists (Bernard Lachaniette, Georges Mathieu and Robert Wogensky): acquired by the university, they are exhibited in this part of the building
