The small manor of Larradé, whose elegant silhouette can be seen from afar, seems to be on guard, not far from the road from Dax to Peyrehorade.
Larradé was a fief belonging to two noble houses in Heugas, classified by Abbé Foix in the houses titled in his Dictionnaire. At the top of a ridge, on the border between Bénesse and Heugas, the house was built at the end of the 16th century by Jehan de Larrey, prosecutor at the presiding seat of Dax. Whether or not there was a house and operating buildings, there is no doubt that the strategic position at the top of a ridge, bordering the road leading from Bénesse to Heugas and close to two water mills is the origin of the choice of site. Jehan de Larrey reportedly received Larradé from the Lord of Heugas before 1600, when the seigneury was divided between two noble houses.
