Sometimes dreams come true. Ours was to revive the Moulin Neuf in Carsac-Aillac, on the Enéa river, at the foot of Sarlat. It was the 10th anniversary of the Association Périgordine des Amis des Moulins, a symbol!
For twenty-six years, without rushing, using the memory of the ancients, we established the plans identically. Getting out of its lush vegetation was a challenge as ash trees and poplars threatened walls, foundations and vaults. It was in ruins, abandoned and had been degraded over time.
Several successive summers, family and in-laws were involved. For the good cause, they then became lumberjacks, masons, carpenters, roofers, cooks. Periods quickly followed.
