The chapel «Notre Dame de Séchaud», built around the 12th century on a site of devotion near a fountain, is located away from the village, near the cemetery. It is the only one of the eight old chapels built from the 12th to the 15th century that has not disappeared.
The Sechaud chapel is rustic; it is a simple rectangle of 17 m by 8.50 m with a maximum height of 5 m for the walls, without bell tower but only a cross indicates the function of the building. It is empty of its furniture, deposited in the parish church.
Rebuilt many times, the present chapel was rebuilt in 1709 by the will of Jean Bardaud, parish priest of Haut Châlus, then sold. It was returned to the parish after the revolutionary period. Religious ceremonies were held there until the 1980s.
The devotional fountain was used until the second half of the previous century to relieve various pains such as headaches. Currently not visible because obstructed, its location is symbolized by a large stone facing the main entranc
