L'Usine des Tramways
Avenue Gaston Lacoste, 64000 Pau
- Pyrénées-Atlantiques
- Nouvelle-Aquitaine
L'Usine des Tramways is a unique cultural facility designed to preserve, disseminate, share and promote a fragile and little-known heritage: written and graphic heritage.
The Tram Factory brings together the Community Archives and the Pau Heritage Library in an industrial site from the beginning of the 20th century. Site rehabilitated in 2010 by the architect Jean-Jacques Cachau.
Fruit of a long history, individual or collective, unique, rare or precious objects, the documents of the archives of the Pau Béarn Pyrenees agglomeration community, as well as the collections of the Heritage Library such as manuscripts, old books, newspapers, prints, photographs, postcards, are now preserved in a place of memory and history, alive and dynamic.
