This mechanism has been in operation since 1992 thanks to the work of volunteers.
Built in 1845, the paddle wheel consists of 160 buckets. The water that feeds it comes from a channeled source, located 50 metres away. The wheel operated 2 bronze pistons that provided water to the top of the village.
