The forest and its activities in the 1920s as seen by photographer Gaby Bessières
About fifteen panels will present more than half of the photos from this album purchased by the Association of Friends of the Prefiguration of the Arcachon Basin Museum. They will be divided under different themes: the habitat (forest hut of Dulet), the gemmage, the storage of the resin in the forest, the transport of the resin to the factory, its treatment within a distillery (Lesca factory next to the port of La Teste) and transportation of turpentine by train (Ychoux station). These different themes will be complemented by work by the members of the AAPM on the collection of resin (tools and pots) and on the genesis of the test turpentine distilleries, especially those of the Lesca family. An exhibition of weaving tools will enrich the iconography.
