To be sustainable, it is necessary to preserve. This weekend is dedicated to the maintenance of the machines of the Belvès wool mill. This is an opportunity to talk about them and present them to you.

Conditions

5 € adults. Free - 18 years. This participation will allow an action to safeguard the heritage on one of the sites managed by the association Au Fil Du Temps.

You will be introduced to the Bobinoir and the knitting machine socks that were saved after the closure of a factory in Toulouse, thanks to last year’s donations.
Visitors will be able to discover the spinning, all stages of processing, from raw wool to the reel of yarn.
And exceptionally, you will have more detailed explanations on the operation of the machines that the association seeks to safeguard and on the means used to preserve them.
The association calls on volunteers to help them on Sundays (upon registration).
Come and spend a friendly day for the good and sustainability of the industrial heritage.

This former medieval mill in the Nauze valley was transformed into a wool mill in the 19th century. The association "Au Fil Du Temps" and the Community of Communes decided to rehabilitate this industrial heritage. Discover this spinning through demonstrations, workshops for all, interactive exhibitions, videos. The exterior of the mill, reach and stream, has been enriched with an educational pond offering all the biodiversity of the wetlands.
