Flamboyant work of color at Daniel Audrerie, trace of the tool on the roughness of the material at Jean-Paul Loubes, the two artists have abandoned the arcana of a modernity of which Baudelaire in his time, or Jean Clair more recently, emphasized what Clair called “the paltry signals”. It is the only delight in front of the object, the canvas or the sculpture, that the art practised by Daniel Audrerie and Jean-Paul Loubes claims.

At a time when refrigerators did not exist, this industrial hangar built in 1909 was used to store ice cakes, which supplied merchants and private individuals in the city of Bordeaux. In 1950, a wooden frame purchased at Château Fieuzal, Grand Cru des Graves in Léognan, replaced the old metal frame. Jean de Giacinto saved this hangar from destruction and rehabilitated the place in 2002: he kept his function as an exhibition space around a greenhouse inside the warehouse hosting a workspace for two architectural agencies as well as the association Groupe des Cinq.
The Groupe des Cinq is a cultural association that supports contemporary art and works to safeguard the architectural heritage of Aquitaine. He is active in the field of production, exhibition, dissemination, promotion of contemporary art and the promotion of artists.
