This castle of the Périgord Blanc, registered ISMH since 1991, watch from its strategic location on the central crossroads of the Salembre valley. Built on an old Gallo-Roman villa, its construction stretches from the thirteenth to the twentieth century. Its medieval dike on Gallo-Roman radier is the only endangered monument of Dordogne selected by the first Bern Mission 2018 and labeled by the Heritage Foundation.
Visitors can admire the 13th century signet tower/keep, the 15th, 16th and 17th century dwellings, the central staircase tower with its rare imperial roof and the galleries covering the entire façade. They will also see the original moat, parts of a larger hydraulic system originally, biodiversity features and landscape markers. Guided tours by the owner every hour.
Adjoining dovecote in free visit.
