Église Saint-Maurice
Le Bourg, 23300 Saint-Maurice-La-Souterraine
The patronage of this church belonged to the bishop of Limoges.
It consists of a single nave of four bays, the last of which is a flat-bedside choir. These bays are vaulted with pointed ribs and separated by broken double arches received on engaged supports. The keystones of two bays of the nave and choir are sculpted. The western façade opens onto a portal from the end of the 12th century, sheltered under an awning supported by fitted piles.
This poly-lobed portal, of broken outline, is embedded in a massive masonry in slight advance.
