Revelation Concert, Shadow and Light
The great tunes of classical music are anchored in our cultural heritage and in our daily lives: concerts, films, series, cartoons, advertisements, car parks, elevators, music waiting for telephones... Unfortunately, these archi-famous and omnipresent works occupy the media space, leaving little room for the no less deserving outsiders.
In «Ombre et Lumière», Frédéric Renoux invites us to discover a selection of unknown composers, under the light of the great names of the classical repertoire. Thus, according to explanations, anecdotes and of course complete works, Chopin, Debussy and Liszt lead us to meet Bortkiewicz, Liapounov, Palmgren and Levitzki, all bearers of forgotten musical treasures.
Frédéric Renoux is a pianist and educator from Bordeaux, trained mainly abroad with teachers from the Soviet School. A two-time state graduate, he is a choreographic accompanist and coordinator of the dance department at the Conservatoire à rayonnement régional (CRR) in Bordeaux. He has been teaching piano for 12 years and specializes in the study of unknown composers, especially those from Eastern Europe.
