Martinet mill
The mill of Martinet, belonged to the Knights of Malta and was acquired in 1928 by Monsieur Louis Courbin. Owned today by Mrs Dupart and Noailles. The exploitation of this one stopped in 1964. Before 1928 this site was a hunting appointment for the notaries and lawyers of Bordeaux (colombiers de bordeaux), at that time a manager lived in this future mill with his wife.

Moulin de Mouchon
In 1764, Sieurs Baillon and Castaing, owners (them or their wives) of a mill called the Mouchon, located in the commune of Salles, on the stream of the same name, acquire as a fief, of the lord of the place, all the waters comprising the stream called the Mouchon, towards the middle of which is the mill of this name, without however innovating anything to the rights of the said mill, of which only the said lord resigned, stripped and divested himself in favor of the said Baillon and Castaing, he clothed them and seized them feudalically, on the condition that they and their successors in the future, or more than the said lord or those who might be entitled, may not build, build or build any mill on the extent of the stream, under such penalty as is the law.” This concession was confirmed in its entirety by the lord of Salles in 1786.
In the 1840s, the Sieur Pierre Dupuch (now represented by the Sieur de Puységur) had built a mill on the creek, downstream of the Mouchon mill, the Dames Jautard and Debourg, the current owners of this mill, have assigned it to see that they alone are the owners and must alone preserve the free use of the waters of the Mouchon; consequently, see inhibition and defense to obstruct in any way said stream and to divert the course thereof; to order the destruction of any works that may have been established to obstruct it, etc. On August 10, 1847, the judgment of the court of Bordeaux declared this request unfounded.
The mill, or the remains of it, are there but well hidden in the scrub behind a "private property" sign that dissuades us from going beyond. These ruins are on a reach a little far from the river as is always the case.
