Free visit of the church of Saint John
Damaged lord of the bombardments of June and July 1944 but remained standing in a practically razed neighborhood, the church Saint-Jean is one of the symbols of the destruction of the city but also of its rebirth.
Located in the heart of the Reconstruction district, it is, for these European Heritage Days, the starting point of several activities proposed this year by the Heritage Valorization Mission of the City of Caen, in collaboration with the liturgical team of the parish, the association of the Friends of the Great Organ of Saint John, the Direction of Urbanism and the Société des Antiquaires de Normandie.
Information on 17 and 18 September, at the JEP info point, inside the church, on the right by entering (description of the heritage provided for the free visit).
