Founded in the 12th century in the Siena valley, the abbey welcomed Benedictines until the eve of the Revolution. It has been the subject for more than half a century of long and patient restoration work.
Listed as a historical monument, the Hambye Abbey is one of the most complete medieval monastic complexes in Lower Normandy and is part of a majestic environment protected by the title of sensitive natural spaces.

The Hambye 3D digital device completes the outdoor tour.
It offers a virtual restitution of the various buildings of the abbey in the fifteenth century through 3D and 360° views superimposed on the real view. A view of the entire site and its surroundings, accessible by touch table in the permanent exhibition, completes the device in 2021.

The exhibition «Stories of the Abbey» tells the whole story of the Hambye Abbey. The exhibition "Toiles de Hambye, un art populaire méconnu du XIXe siècle" presents a local production halfway between art and crafts.
