Visit in 2 steps, through the illuminated visit of the facade, then of the interior. During this visit, you are invited to examine every detail of this richly decorated architectural elevation. Inside this magnificent Italian-style theatre, the theatre offers a sumptuous setting in the red and gold tones in force at that time. An imposing crystal chandelier illuminates the dome decorated with paintings by Georges Clairin, one of the decorators of the Opéra Garnier. Its architect, Charles de Lalande, had previously designed the Renaissance theatre in Paris.

This magnificent Italian theater is part of the three stages that the Trident, the National Stage of Cherbourg-Octeville has for its programming of theater, dance, concerts. The staircase, the ceiling of the room painted by Georges Clairin, the caryatids and other statuary elements testify to the refinement of the building, classified Historic Monument since 1984\. Renovated, it benefits from exceptional acoustics, has found its backstage and is accessible to people with disabilities.
