Relive the siege of Château-Gaillard, this so-called "imprenable" fortress. This was without counting on the ingenuity of Guillaume de Saint-Marcel, one of the masterpieces whose king Philippe Auguste surrounded himself to develop his military defences and find the fault of this castle. This is the same man who will take you around the fortifications on a fascinating and exciting tour.
It is in period costume that your guide-lecturer will propel you to the heart of the tumultuous Franco-Norman epic of the twelfth and thirteenth century in the context of a Frankish kingdom divided into feudalism. It will tell you the history and skill of this military jewel without forgetting the reverse of the scenery of the smallest people.
Your visit will begin on the parking lot of the panorama overlooking Château-Gaillard and will end at the gates of the dungeon.
