With nearly 2,300 species recorded, the Mare de Vauville National Nature Reserve is a remarkable protected site in the Manche department, northwest of the Cotentin peninsula. The Mare de Vauville National Nature Reserve, a vast body of fresh water separated from the sea by a narrow dune cordon, has been managed by the Ornithological Group Normand since 1983. When you arrive by the Thot viewpoint, you can admire the magnificent panorama offered by the reserve, with Cape Flamanville to the south and Cape Jobourg to the north.
This discovery of the fauna and flora will allow you to observe many species of birds, plants or insects through the different natural environments that the reserve offers. The appointment is at 10:00 in the parking lot of the entrance of the reserve, near the municipal campsite of Vauville. Provide suitable shoes. Loan of binoculars.
