Hôtel de ville - Salle du Bailliage
20 rue de l'Hôtel de Ville, 27480 Lyons-La-Forêt
Built in 1782-1783 under the aegis of the duke of Penthièvre after he had inherited the seigniory of Lyons in 1776, the town hall of Lyons-la-Forêt, kept(preserved) undamaged his room of bailiwick of the XVIIIth century s. The furniture is protected in conformance with(for) historic monuments, in particular court of the XVIIIth century and an exceptional decorated with fleurs-de-lis curtain restored in 1986\. One of his(her,its) six prison cells also stayed undamaged.
This room was used for the audience of four courts of justice: control(master's degree) of Forestry authority (court(yard), administration), bailiwick (bourgeoisie, Court of Appeal for the viscountcy), viscountcy (Thirds(Third parties)-States, criminal cases, civil procedures) and elections (court for taxes, sizes)..
