La Mésangère is an area that in its current form dates from the 17th and 18th century. La Mésangère is a classified site since 1925 and its park is classified MH since 2015; it is structured by beautiful perspectives, majestic trees and a set of stone and marble statues from the 18th century. Jean de La Fontaine, during his stays at La Mésangère, wrote two of his fables (the two Pigeons and the Frogs who ask for a king). The house, a hunting lodge enlarged in the eighteenth century, disappears in front of the layout of the park which still includes buildings annexes, charreterie, common, dovecote, orangery and cooler, which are to be restored but remain the witnesses of the past life of the domain.
