Château du Logis
Lieu dit le logis, 50370 Brécey
The castle of Vassy, known as the Logis castle, is located in Brécey (Manche) at the place called Le Logis, on the left bank of the river Sée. Its construction dates back to the early 17th century.
Its architecture is characteristic of the tricolour style of the Louis XIII era, combining brick, slate and stone, here the country stone: granite and schist.
Although it has kept beautiful volumes, the house lost its two wings during the Revolution; the most remarkable element that remains is the monumental staircase with three flights that houses the central body.
It has been listed as a historical monument since 2000.
