The church of Saint Julien as a whole, as well as its great organ were designed by Henry Bernard, famous architect of the period of reconstruction, forming a very homogeneous whole with the university also designed by him, in a district then brand new. Form, materials, dimensions, stained glass and colours, the simplicity of the furniture contribute to make this vast space a place conducive to meditation and an innovative example of religious architecture.
