Inaugurated in the outbuildings of the castle of L'Aigle in 1953 by Madame la Maréchale Leclerc de Hautecloque, the June 44 Museum was the first museum talking about France. From the call of June 18, 1940 to the defeat of the Germans during the Battle of the Falaise Pocket, you will dive back into the events that marked this Second World War.
You will discover scenes made of wax characters, sonorized with the authentic voices of the main actors of this troubled period. A 36 m² strategic map explains the Battle of Normandy.
