Free visit or full-size police investigation game to discover the Château des Montgommery de Ducey-Les Chéris and its history.
Ducey Castle is located on the banks of the Sélune. Listed as a Historical Monument, it was built in the first twenty years of the 17th century under the reign of Henry IV, by Gabriel II de Montgommery, the son of the regicide. Beautiful ceilings decorated with paintings, imposing fireplaces and a monumental staircase testify to an ambitious and innovative architectural project due to a powerful Protestant lord whose family marked the history of France.
A scenography and interpretive panels accompany the free visit.
To discover the castle in a playful way, we propose a life-size police investigation. It was in the early morning, around 9 am, that an employee of the Tourist Office discovered the lifeless body of a man lying on this floor of the corridor of the castle. The man is known to all: it is Pierre Eviard, the curator of the Avranchin. Many clues were left in the castle. And to solve the case, which is not unrelated to the history of the castle, you will have to decipher the Ducey Code. This one hides a formidable secret that could upset the history of France.
