Bayeux Museum
The MAHB - Museum of Art and History Baron Gérard hosts an unprecedented exhibition that tells the little-known historical facts about the Bayeux Tapestry. In 1872, the town of Bayeux was restored by the director of a large London museum, now called the Victoria & Albert Museum, an original fragment of the Tapestry. Little documented, the collection of this small piece of embroidery of about 6 cm had taken place at the beginning of the nineteenth century, while the Tapestry was not yet displayed in the window in the eyes of the public. Retrace the path of this little piece of history of the Bayeux Tapestry!
