C. La Manche Libre

About 40 metres long and entirely masonry, the underground was used for sewage disposal. Its access is within the walls of the Abbey and it leads to the outskirts of the pond aux Moines.

Founded in 1032 by Robert le Magnifique, Duke of Normandy, Saint-Vigor Abbey is one of the oldest Norman abbeys. A true jewel of Norman Romanesque architecture, its apse, pierced by fifteen windows on three levels of elevation, is a unique example. The Abbey is open for visits from April to the end of October. All year round for groups on reservation, from ten people.
