Conference on the "Grain Treaty" of Boisguilbert (1704)

The grain treaty (1704) by Pierre Le Pesant de Boisguilbert: A premonitory vision of the cereal economy.
Saturday 17 September 2022, 16:30Passed
Edith de Feuardent

Boisguilbert’s theses, developed in 1704, stem from an in-depth reflection on the crises and famines that marked the end of the 17th century. The mechanisms proposed are of surprising relevance and prefigure the present European common organization of the market in cereals.
