A former 18th-century dwelling, the Domaine de la Pagerie includes a 3-hectare flowered park, a mill, the ruins of the birthplace of Empress Josephine and the museum. All of them illustrate the early years of Marie Joseph Rose Tascher de la Pagerie in Trois-Ilets, his hometown. The ruins of the sugar factory are inscribed in their entirety as historical monuments. In 2013, the Domaine celebrated the bicentenary of Joséphine de Beauharnais. The site has been owned by the Community since 1984.
