Distillerie JM/Robert Charlotte

At the very north of the island, the J.M distillery is one of the oldest in Martinique and one of the last to still live in an almost autarkic way. It has water from its source, its cane fields, the lush nature that surrounds it. And artisanal know-how that has been passed down from generation to generation for over 100 years. A terroir and men who make J.M rum, AOC since 1996, one of the most original and renowned agricultural rums of the French West Indies. The complete renovation of the site had a triple objective: to modernize the production tool, to showcase the exceptional heritage of the place by instilling in it creativity and modernity, to imagine an innovative and singular way to visit a distillery.

Everything north of the island, the J.M distillery is one of the most old(former) of Martinique and one of the last ones to live still in an almost self-sufficient way. She(It) has the water of her(its) source(spring), her(its) fields of cane, this luxuriant nature which surrounds her(it). And a craft(home-made) know-how which is passed on from generation to generation for more than 100 years. A country(soil) and men(people) who make some rum J.M, AOC since 1996, one of the most renowned and most original agricultural rums of the French Antilles. The complete renovation of the site pursued a triple aim: update the production tool, emphasise the exceptional heritage of the place by breathing into it creativity and modernity, imagine an innovative and peculiar way of visiting a distillery.
