(Re) discover the Castle of yesterday and today!
From the construction of the Vanderbilt Castle at the beginning of the 20th century to the rehabilitation of the estate in a cultural place dedicated to digital creation (Ephemeral Castle), we offer you a journey through time, during which many anecdotes will be breathed. The opportunity to also discover the projects of our artists in residence: Matthias Pasquet and his video installation/ short documentary CAFI, but also Studio F3 and their multimedia installation LOCAL.
CAFI - Matthias Pasquet
CAFI is a video installation and short documentary project that explores the history of the CAFI territory, the French Reception Centre of Indochina. It is part of an experimental register, bordering between photography, documentary and animation. The visual device is based on the photogrammetry process*. This project proposes a visual and sonic representation of a landscape-shaped memory irradiated by multiple heritages and notably that of Jérémy, the narrator.

  • Photogrammetry is a measurement technique that involves determining the shape, dimensions and location of an object in space from multiple photographic shots of that object. It simply makes it possible to render objects geometrically in 3D, in the manner of human vision.

    LOCAL - Studio F3
LOCAL is a generative and evolutionary audiovisual installation, built from the study of a specific space through the evaluation of the elements that make up the beauty of a place.
Exploring and documenting these spaces, the work is conceived as a recording, a trace of the passage of artists, giving it to see, feel and listen. By compiling 3D, sound materials and coding, a generative audiovisual composition is built, allowing to reconstruct the place virtually.
