About the location

Pavillon des Indes
Parc de Bécon - 142 boulevard Saint-Denis 92400 Courbevoie
  • Hauts-de-Seine
  • Île-de-France
Built on the occasion of the 1878 World’s Fair in Paris, the Pavillon des Indes Anglaises had been commissioned by the Prince of Wales (1841-1910), the future Edward VII, to display the presents received during his trip to India. Composed of several bodies of buildings joined by a central gallery, the building several meters long was installed in the Palais du Champ-de-Mars. The Pavillon de Courbevoie is an element of this ensemble. It serves as an annex to a brick structure, built at the request of Prince Stirbey in Bécon Park. Welcoming the painter George-Achille Fould (1865-1951), sister of Consuelo Fould, the Pavillon des Indes today finds its vocation as a place of creation after its restoration.
