Just 70 years ago, the Renault factory in Aubergenville-Flins was inaugurated and with it, the original «working-class city» which is an extension to the west. In both cases, the architect Bernard Zehrfuss (Le CNIT, the UNESCO building in Paris...), works in a resolutely modern and corbuséen style. The basic module of living units - individual pavilion - is assembled to form the other buildings. Geometric shapes and stilts can be found in the long line of changing rooms on the main facade of the factory. An ambitious architectural project puts art at the service of a utilitarian function in association with the decorator architect Jean Prouvé and the painter Félix Del Marle.
